Bringing Back the Gloria Days

Branding and Strategy

An iconic innovator in the world of women’s apparel, Gloria Vanderbilt’s brand needed a 21st century facelift. Given the brand’s rich history and lasting equity, we stayed well on the side of evolution vs. revolution, establishing the legacy-honoring tagline, There Is Only One, and then evolving it to the socially relevant, We Are All One, and pursuing a similar, relatively subtle evolution of its visual identity.

Packaging

Articulated Gloria Vanderbilt’s contemporary, slightly luxurious update with clean, minimal collateral that featured the new gold accent.

Campaigns

Established a roster of icon models to represent the brands, including Iman, Elsa Benitez, Tatjana Patitz, and Tara Lynn. Updated campaign imagery to reflect all four icons in the brand’s first colorful imagery since the fall 2016 rebrand.

Digital and Social Media Content

Designed and built the Gloria Vanderbilt website in an easy-to-navigate manner to share the brand’s history and product. Created contemporary, on-brand digital assets for the website and social media that appealed to a younger generation without alienating GV’s existing, older and loyal consumer base.

Showroom

Translated the updated identity to a physical space that maintained the brand’s egalitarian ethos, while elevating it with a bit of luxury.
