Strategy
To meet the needs of its developers, Hyatt created Hyatt Studios, an upper-midscale, longer-stay brand, and turned to RO NEW YORK for a full brand identity. After a comprehensive competitive analysis, we found that Hyatt Studios can differentiate itself from the competition and within the Hyatt portfolio by providing a reliable, uncomplicated experience of care and flexibility in the category. We created the brand name and built the brand’s story, positioning, mission, and DNA around this idea. We then translated this ownable verbal identity into an inviting, yet contemporary visual identity.
Hyatt Select
Identity
To differentiate itself in the select market and also within the Hyatt portfolio, Hyatt Select turned to RO NEW YORK for a contemporary visual identity. We created a look and feel that feels both modern and warm through its color palette, typography, and the H logo mark.

With the strategy intact, we set out to create a visual identity that spoke to the brand’s simplicity and joy. This meant creating a system that was graphic and colorful to elevate key elements.
